Unifyed StudentX v26.03
Overview
StudentX v26.03 builds on the v26.02 baseline with new engagement, platform, content, and widget capabilities. This release introduces a comprehensive Communities management experience for engagement and Tasks app for personal tasks and institution task management, along with a broad set of platform enhancements such as richer Audit Logs, User Impersonation, an AI Agent Framework, permission-review tooling, centralized integration management, and a modernized Friendly URL Mapper plus new content and widget capabilities including CMS page cloning, an Image Slider, and a reusable iFrame widget.

About This Release
Release Summary
StudentX v26.03 extends the v26.02 baseline with a comprehensive Communities management experience for engagement, and a broad set of platform enhancements such as Tasks app for students/faculty and staffs, enhanced Audit Logs with change detail, User Impersonation, session preference caching, the foundational AI Agent Framework and Product Help Assistant, permission-review tooling, a centralized Manage Integrations module, and a modernized Friendly URL Mapper. Content improvements add CMS page cloning and a new Image Slider widget, while new and enhanced widgets include a reusable iFrame widget, widget background opacity, GPA Calculator configuration, and Emergency Contact view options. Together, these additions deepen engagement, add coordinated student-success workflows, and strengthen platform governance and configurability for institutions of all sizes.

Introduced a comprehensive Community Management experience that enables administrators to create, configure, brand, and manage communities through a guided multi-step workflow. Admins can define audiences, configure roles and permissions, manage community content (pages, articles, files, and images), customize navigation and branding, control audience visibility, configure community settings, manage apps, and moderate community activities. End users can access personalized communities based on their assigned roles, groups, and permissions, providing a tailored and engaging community experience.

The release includes configurable task views, end-to-end task lifecycle management, SLA tracking, comments and activity history, reminders, notifications, role-based access control, departmental task assignment, audit logging, and administrative configuration. Together, these enhancements provide a centralized, secure, and streamlined experience for managing student success workflows while improving accountability, collaboration, and operational efficiency.

Audit Logs
Enhanced the Audit Log experience with advanced sorting and filtering capabilities, along with a new View Details panel for every audit entry. Authorized users and auditors can now view complete audit information, including actor details, timestamps, affected entities, actions, source, and correlation ID with read-only before-and-after comparisons. Enhanced experience preserves the current search, filter, and pagination state when closing the detail view, enabling efficient investigation and compliance auditing.

Impersonate User
Introduced User Impersonation to enable authorized administrators to securely troubleshoot and validate end-user experiences without requiring user credentials. Admins can initiate impersonation directly from the Users module, access the selected user’s configured landing page, and navigate the platform with the user’s permissions in a strictly read-only mode. The feature includes role-based access control, confirmation prompts, a persistent impersonation banner with an exit option, automatic restoration of the original admin session, and comprehensive audit logging of impersonation events to support security and compliance.

Caching User Preferences

It also delivers the first Product Help Assistant, providing context-aware guidance, intelligent troubleshooting, and interactive in-product assistance. Comprehensive administrative controls for content sources, access, AI behavior, compliance, analytics, and control plane configuration lay the groundwork for scalable, enterprise-grade AI capabilities across the platform.

Review Permissions – Feature and User Explorer (Roles and Groups)
Enhanced the User Explorer and Feature Explorer with comprehensive role and permission visibility capabilities, enabling administrators to easily audit user access across the platform. Administrators can now view assigned roles, group memberships, effective permissions, and associated resources including apps, modules, pages, external links, and articles with clear permission attribution and contributing roles. The update also introduces advanced search and filtering, exportable permission reports and streamlined permission management actions, providing greater transparency, governance, and administrative efficiency.

Friendly URL Mapper
Modernized the Friendly URL Mapper with an updated V14 user interface and introduced the ability to edit existing URL mappings, eliminating the need to delete and recreate entries. The enhancement also strengthens URL validation by preventing duplicate, conflicting, and redirect-loop mappings while ensuring consistent handling of relative source URLs, HTTPS destination URLs, and reserved routes. Existing functionality, including CSV import, remains fully supported, providing administrators with a more efficient and reliable way to manage URL redirections.

Clone a CMS Page
Introduced the ability for content administrators to duplicate existing pages directly from the Manage Pages listing. A new Duplicate action in the page row menu allows admins to quickly create a new page pre-populated with the source page’s content, settings, and metadata. The duplicated page opens in the creation form with editable fields, including Page Name and Page ID (auto-suffixed with “-new”), and is only created upon explicit save, ensuring full validation and control while significantly reducing effort in page creation workflows.

The widget supports audience-based targeting per slide, a unified auto-rotation interval, and standard navigation controls for end users, delivering a flexible and accessible visual storytelling component within CMS pages.

Widget iFrame
Introduced a reusable iFrame Widget for CMS Page Management, enabling administrators to seamlessly embed external websites, applications, dashboards, forms, and other web content within portal pages. The enhancement supports both creating new and reusing existing iFrame configurations, provides centralized management with usage tracking, and automatically propagates updates to all pages using a shared configuration. Additional improvements include configurable display options, built-in URL validation, page-level previews, and streamlined administration, making it easier to manage embedded content consistently across the platform.

Widget Background Opacity
Added support for configuring widget background opacity within Page Design, giving administrators greater control over the visual appearance of page layouts. Widget backgrounds can now be adjusted from fully transparent to fully opaque, allowing better blending with solid colors, gradients, and image backgrounds while preserving content readability. Configured opacity settings are reflected consistently in preview and published pages and are automatically retained across sessions.

GPA Calculator – App Configuration
Enabled App Manager-level configuration for the GPA Calculator, allowing administrators to define, customize, and maintain grade options and their associated grade weight values. Institutions can now add, edit, or remove grade entries (e.g., A+, A, B-, etc.) and adjust corresponding GPA values to align with their academic grading policies. The default grading scale is preloaded for convenience but remains fully configurable to support institution-specific grading structures and variations.

Emergency Contact View Configuration
Introduced configuration support for the Emergency Contact App allowing administrators to define how emergency contacts are displayed to end users. Through App Management, admins can set the default display mode as either Grid or List view, which will be consistently applied across the application. Additionally, while configuring the widget, admins can override or select the preferred view mode. By default, the system displays emergency contacts in Grid View, ensuring a structured and user-friendly experience out of the box.
