Unifyed Announces General Availability of Engage v12.13

Unifyed Engage 12.13

Summary

The following applets have been updated with new enhancements and/or resolved defects:

  • Unifyed Groups
  • Community Drive
  • Messages Inbox
  • Unifyed Chat
  • My ToDos

To update an applet:

  • Click on ‘Studio’ from the Profile dropdown on the right.
  • Click on ‘App Manager’ from the new navigation bar that appears on the left.
  • Click on ‘Unifyed Appstore’.
  • Click on ‘Save’ for all the applets that you wish to update.
  • Close the window and click on ‘Publish’ present in the top right corner.

New Features

At Unifyed, we define a new feature as a fundamentally new capability added within Engage to provide additional value or solve a new problem.

Unifyed Manage Integration

We’re excited to unveil our integration with Unifyed Manage, a Student Information System (SIS) built and maintained by Unifyed. Students using Engage can now effortlessly access their student info, curriculum details, enrolled courses, and schedules from Unifyed Manage — all within the Engage portal. This integration enhances academic management, fostering a unified and self-serve experience for students.

Enhancements

At Unifyed, we classify an enhancement as an update to an existing feature or capability to make it more advanced or to provide additional value or offer a richer user experience.

Unifyed Group

We’ve reorganized the way Groups and Individual users are displayed to help group administrators see who has joined a given group.

Manage Images

We’ve reorganized the way folder and files appear in the Manage Images area to make it for Engage administrators to see what Images have been uploaded for use on various pages. We’ve also added an option for Engage administrators to sort these folders and files alphabetically or by date uploaded. This enhancement streamlines image organization, providing users with a more intuitive and efficient way to manage visual content.

Community Drive

Administrators now have option to enable a preview option for a variety of file types in Community Drives (PNG, PDF, gif, jpg, and jpeg files). Once enabled, the configuration options allows users to preview the files in a separate tab before downloading them. To enable this feature, visit the Configuration options for the CommunityDive applet and make sure the “Preview file” checkbox is selected. Once that has been selected, clicking on a file of the applicable type in CommunityDrive will result in the image or PDF being displayed in a new browser tab, instead of simply downloading the file locally. Once the tab is open, users can still choose to download the file locally if they wish.

Test Database Refresh Improvements

We’ve made some changes with our backend services that allow us to respond more efficiently when we receive requests to refresh the data contained within a test environment (so that it matches the data in your live environment). If you have a pending request with us to refresh your test environment data, you can expect to hear from us soon with an update. If you would like to make a request to have your test data refreshed, please do so by contacting support and opening a case.

Resolved Defects-

  • Addressed an issue that was preventing profanity from being blocked from post comments in Connect
  • Addressed an issue in the Message Inbox applet that was preventing images from being auto-sized correctly within the allocated frame
  • Addressed an issue that was affecting user search functionality in Chat
  • Addressed an issue that was allowing users to edit and delete ToDo tasks created and assigned from the Messaging applet
