Feature Overview

We have enhanced the Engage Messaging email channel to support dynamic personalization using shortcodes. Admins can now personalize email content by inserting recipient-specific information such as first and last names.

What’s New

Added support for dynamic short codes:

• • {FirstName}
  • {LastName}

Short codes automatically populate recipient details based on the users selected in the Messaging Applet.

Short codes are available in:

• Email body content
• Email templates within the Messaging Applet
• Personalization occurs at send time, ensuring accurate user-specific data.

Benefits

• Enables personalized communication at scale
• Improves user engagement and email effectiveness
• Eliminates the need for manual customization per recipient

Scope & Compatibility

• Available only for the Email channel in Engage Messaging
• Backward compatible existing emails and templates continue to work without modification
• If short codes are not used, email behavior remains unchanged

2. Form Builder Enhancements – Instructions & Field Labels

Overview
Admins can now rename display labels for externally integrated and prefilled form fields (e.g., External ID) to improve clarity, without impacting backend data mappings.

Key Updates

• New Field Label option in Form Builder (default: External ID)
• Custom labels supported (e.g., Student ID, Employee ID)
• Front-end display only; backend mapping unchanged

Prefilled Field Behavior

• Auto-filled for logged-in users
• Read-only for end users
• Displays “NA” when data is unavailable

Compatibility & Impact

• No impact on existing forms
• Label updates reflect immediately across all forms
• Improves user understanding and form completion with zero workflow disruption
