Unifyed Engage 12.25
Summary
The following applets have been updated with new enhancements and/or resolved defects:
- Messaging Inbox
- My Addresses (ERP)
To update an applet:
- Click on ‘Studio’ from the Profile dropdown on the right.
- Click on ‘App Manager’ from the new navigation bar that appears on the left.
- Click on ‘Unifyed Appstore’.
- Click on ‘Update’ for all the applets that you wish to update.
- Close the window and click on ‘Publish’ present in the top right corner.
New Features
At Unifyed, we define a “New Feature” as a fundamentally new capability added within Engage to provide additional value or solve a new problem.
Cookie Consent Management
Engage now supports Cookie Consent Management to help organizations stay compliant with data privacy standards while offering users transparency and control over how their data is handled. This enhancement introduces configurable cookie behavior upon login, including prompt control, tenant-specific logic.

- Improved Compliance: Supports adherence to global privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA.
- User Transparency: Clearly informs users about cookie usage and lets them control their data consent.
- Admin Control: Flexible configurations for cookie behavior and consent handling based on tenant preferences.
- Audit-Ready: Exportable reports for user consent status, aiding compliance reviews and audits.
Feature Summary –
- Cookie Consent Prompt
- Displayed automatically upon user login (when enabled).
- Includes clear messaging and two actionable options: Accept or Reject.
- Users cannot bypass the prompt without making a selection.
- Prompt Message: “We use cookies to improve your experience. By using this site, you agree to our cookie policy.”
Buttons: [Accept] [Reject]
- Tenant-Specific Configuration Options
- Enable Cookie Consent (Site Settings → Enterprise Features): Activates the cookie consent prompt for all users.
- Allow Login without Consent (Available only if above is enabled):
- Disabled: Rejecting cookies logs out the user immediately.
- Enabled: Users can continue to use the portal with limited functionality; cookie storage is minimized.
Getting Started –
To enable cookie consent for your portal:
- Go to Site Settings → Enterprise Features.
- Enable Cookie Consent to activate the login prompt.
- (Optional) Enable Allow Login without Consent to let users proceed after rejecting cookies.

Messaging Inbox – Expand Mode & Hide Message Switching
We’ve enhanced the Messaging Inbox in Engage by introducing two configurable features—Expand Mode and Hide Message Switching—designed to improve the message viewing experience and simplify user interactions.
Key Benefits –
- Streamlined View: Automatically expand message content on load for quicker readability.
- Focused Messaging: Optionally limit view to a single message, reducing confusion when multiple sources are involved.
- Customizable Display: Admins now have more control over how users interact with messages in the inbox.
Feature Summary –
- Expand Mode (New Checkbox in Applet Configuration)
- When enabled, messages will be expanded by default in the inbox.
- No impact on existing functionalities or interactions.
- Post-upgrade default: Disabled for all existing customers.
- Hide Message Switching (New Checkbox in Applet Configuration)
- When enabled, users will not see the message type or be able to toggle between messages of different sources.
- If multiple messages exist, the inbox will automatically display the first message in the following priority:
- Push Notification → Email → Connect → SMS → To Do
- If only one message exists, that message is displayed as-is.
Getting Started –
- Admins can configure these options via the Applet Settings:
- Navigate to the Messaging Inbox applet.
- Enable Expand Mode to automatically open messages.
- Enable Hide Message Switching to restrict toggling between message types.
- Changes apply immediately upon configuration save.
- No additional setup required.

Resolved Defects
Fix implemented to ensure the “View Only” checkbox in the Banner applet (My Addresses ERP) correctly restricts users from editing the address when enabled.

Along with the platform, this release is compliant to WCAG 2.1 AA.
