Unifyed Engage 12.22
Summary
The following applets have been updated with new enhancements and/or resolved defects:
- Unifyed Connect
- MultiEvent URL
- Event RSS
- Unifyed Group
To update an applet:
- Click on ‘Studio’ from the Profile dropdown on the right.
- Click on ‘App Manager’ from the new navigation bar that appears on the left.
- Click on ‘Unifyed Appstore’.
- Click on ‘Save’ for all the applets that you wish to update.
- Close the window and click on ‘Publish’ present in the top right corner.
New Features
At Unifyed, we define a “New Feature” as a fundamentally new capability added within Engage to provide additional value or solve a new problem.
Export Interest Users Data
The new Export Interest Users Data feature in Engage allows administrators to easily download detailed information about users associated with specific interests. This feature offers flexibility and precision in managing and analyzing user engagement across interests.
Key Benefits –
- Effortless Data Access: Streamline data retrieval by exporting user information tied to specific interests.
- Customizable Exports: Select interests with a sorting, filter and search functionality.
- Enhanced Reporting: Gain insights into audience and admin roles, with detailed breakdowns by individual users and groups.
Feature Summary –

- Access: Available under Studio → Export → Interest Users.
- Selection Screen: Displays a comprehensive table with the following details:
- Name: The name of the interest.
- Status: Indicates whether the interest is enabled or disabled.
- Created By: The creator of the interest.
- Created Date: The creation date of the interest.
- Admin Count: Number of administrators for the interest.
- Audience Count: Number of users subscribed to the interest.
- Multi-Select Capability: Includes a “Select All” feature to simplify selection.
- Download Button: Becomes active once at least one interest is selected.
The exported data is delivered in a CSV file (InterestUsers.csv) with the following fields:
- Name: User’s name.
- Email: User’s email address.
- Interest: Interest associated with the user.
- Role: User’s role—either “Admin” or “Audience.”
- Admin Type: Specifies whether the admin is an “Individual User” or part of a “Group” (blank for audience).
- Group Name: Displays the group name for group-admins (blank for audience).
Getting Started –
- Navigate to Studio → Export → Interest Users.
- Use the selection screen to choose specific interests or use “Select All” for bulk selection.
- Click the Export button to generate and save the CSV file.
- Open the CSV file to review detailed user data, categorized by roles and admin types.
Enhancements
At Unifyed, we classify an Enhancement as an update to an existing feature or capability to make it more advanced or to provide additional value or offer a richer user experience.
Ability to Schedule Post
The Schedule Connect Posts feature enables group moderators to schedule posts directly from the Connect applet. This allows users with limited access to the Messaging applet to conveniently manage and plan content within Connect itself.
Key Benefits –
- Enhanced Flexibility: Group moderators can schedule posts for future publication directly from Connect, improving efficiency.
- Simplified Access: Reduces dependency on the Messaging applet, aligning with access restrictions and ensuring a focused user experience.
- Consistent Functionality: Leverages familiar scheduling features already available in Messaging for a seamless transition.
Feature Summary –
- Scheduling Options: When creating a post in Connect, users can choose to publish it immediately or schedule it for a later time.
- Editing Exclusion: The scheduling option is not available while editing an existing post, maintaining clarity and simplicity.
- Messaging Feature Parity: All scheduling functionalities from the Messaging applet are extended to Connect posts, ensuring consistency.
Getting Started –
- Create a Post: Navigate to the Connect applet and initiate a new post.
- Select Publish Time: Choose between “Publish Now” or “Schedule for Later” from the provided options.
- Set the Date and Time: If scheduling, specify the desired future date and time for publication.
- Publish or Schedule: Confirm your selection, and the post will be published immediately or at the scheduled time.
Enhance Applet Behavior
This enhancement transitions the RSS Event and Multi-Event URL applets to a seamless, single-page modal-based navigation framework. By eliminating disruptive page redirections, users can now interact with events intuitively, ensuring a consistent user experience aligned with other applets like News.

- Streamlined Navigation: Interact with events directly within the applet’s designated modal without being redirected to a new page.
- Consistent Experience: Aligns RSS Event and Multi-Event URL applets with the behavior of the News applet, ensuring uniformity across the platform.
- Improved Usability: Reduces confusion and enhances satisfaction by keeping users within a cohesive interface.
Feature Summary –
- Modal-Based Event Interaction: Clicking on an event in the RSS Event or Multi-Event URL applet opens it within the same modal on the designated page.
- Back Button Functionality: The back button seamlessly returns users to the applet’s home screen within the modal, avoiding redirection to a standalone page.
- Cohesive Interface: Retains all user interactions within the applet’s designated area, ensuring a smooth and intuitive user journey.
Getting Started –
- Access Applets: Navigate to the RSS Event or Multi-Event URL applet on your page.
- Open an Event: Click on any event to view details within the same modal, without being redirected.
- Navigate Back: Use the back button to return to the applet’s home screen seamlessly.
- Experience Consistency: Enjoy a streamlined interface consistent with other applets like News.
Export User Data
The Export Users Data functionality, previously available under Studio → Export, has now been extended to the Users section within Studio → User/Groups → Users. This enhancement allows administrators to efficiently export user data directly from the Users interface, improving accessibility and streamlining workflows.

- Enhanced Accessibility: Export user data directly from the Users screen, without navigating to a separate export section.
- Centralized Data Management: Consolidate data export functionality within the User/Groups module for a more intuitive user experience.
- Detailed CSV Output: Obtain well-structured CSV files for reporting, analysis, or integration with other systems.
Feature Summary –
The Export Users Data feature in Studio → User/Groups → Users provides:
- User Data Export: Admins can export a list of all users, including details such as First Name, Last Name, Email, Group Membership, Chat User Discoverable status, and Last Login Date.
- Direct Access to CSV Downloads: A download icon within the Users screen enables a simple and direct export of user data.
- Streamlined Workflow: Users can now manage and export user-related data from a single, familiar interface.
Getting Started –
- Navigate to Studio → User/Groups → Users: Go to the Users screen in Engage.
- Export User Data: Locate the export button and click it to download the user data.
- Access and Process CSV File: The downloaded CSV file (users-data.csv) will include detailed user information ready for reporting or further analysis.
Export Community Data
The Export Community Users Data functionality, previously available under Studio → Export for multiple communities, is now available within individual community contexts. Admins can export detailed user data directly from:
- Unifyed Group Listing → View Member
- Unifyed Group Home Page → View Member
This enhancement provides a focused data export experience, specific to a single community, improving data management and accessibility.

- Community-Specific Exports: Download user data tailored to individual communities without navigating to a centralized export screen.
- Streamlined Workflow: Access and export data directly from community management interfaces.
- Detailed Insights: Obtain structured CSV files highlighting user roles and affiliations within the selected community.
Feature Summary –
The Enhanced Export Community Users Data feature now includes:
- Focused Export Options: Export user data specific to a single community directly from the View Member screens within community contexts.
- Comprehensive CSV Output: The exported CSV includes user details such as name, email, role, role type (individual or group), and associated group name. Pending memberships are excluded for restricted groups.
- Integrated Navigation: Access the export functionality seamlessly from the Unifyed Group Listing or the Community Home Page, aligned with community-specific workflows.
Getting Started –
- Navigate to the View Member Screen:
- Go to Unifyed Group (Community) Listing → View Member, or
- Go to Unifyed Group Home Page → View Member.
- Export User Data: Locate the export option on the View Member screen and click it.
- Access and Process CSV File: The downloaded CSV file (communityusers-data.csv) contains detailed user information specific to the selected community.
Resolved Defects-
- Prevent deletion of default community user groups to maintain consistent RBAC functionality and ensure stable community behavior.
- Fix incorrect behavior of Prev and Next buttons in the Events RSS applet, ensuring navigation works as expected within the events.
