Enhancements
Self-service IP Address Tracking
With this release, Institutes will be able to track the IP addresses of the self-service users when they become a prospect (when a prospect record is submitted) or an application record is submitted. This is applicable only when the records are created from the self-service portal.
Decision Status Improvement
With this release, the ability to take a decision on an application is no more restricted to Pending status only. Now configurations may be done in the system so that decisions on an application be done at any status of the application whereas earlier prior to this release, Institute users were able to take decisions only when the application is in Pending status (except for withdrawal which is governed by configuration).
Generate PDF on decision tasks
With this release, the generation of PDFs based on the decision task “Generate PDF” will happen based on the applied rules. Prior to this release, PDF generations decisions were applied to applicants regardless of any segmentation via rules.
OS Upgrade
OS upgraded from Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS to Ubuntu 20/22. This will ensure enhanced security, and better performance, and avoids memory overflow.
Arango DB upgrade
Arango DB has been upgraded from 3.3 to 3.8 version. Certain benefits of the upgrade are:
- Query execution becomes faster by moving calculations out of subqueries into the outer query.
- The performance of AQL Sort operations is better.
- Allows to set the minimum and maximum number of threads for committing and consolidation separately.
- The web interface can now display the servers’ current metrics.
Load Balancing
New database is introduced to distribute and channel the load. This avoids overloading a single database.
API payload optimization
The number of API calls has been optimized to perform better and hence improve the overall service response.
Performance Tuning
The activities to tune the performance of the system were done. This includes bypassing overhead services, and cloud front integration for static JS, CSS and images etc.
