The City University of New York Selects Unifyed Engage® as its System-wide Web Portal & Mobile Platform
The Challenge
CUNY issued an RFP to find an ideal engagement solution that could support CUNYfirst (the CUNY implementation of PeopleSoft) integration with PeopleSoft Campus Solution functionalities; including course registration, course schedule, grades, student financials, catalog lookup, financial aid, and non-CUNYfirst functionalities; including directory, library access, campus calendar, campus map, campus alerts, and news.
The Solution
Unifyed was awarded a multiyear contract for Unifyed Engage following a competitive bidding process. After a thorough analysis and comparison of different leading app providers including Ex Libris®, OOHLALA® (now known as Ready Education®), and Modo Labs®, CUNY selected Unifyed as its system-wide platform based on Unifyed’s ability to: integrate to Oracle PeopleSoft® and mission-critical enterprise applications; support ADA compliance; provide a multi-institutional environment platform; and deliver a cloud-based solution.
Unifyed Engage was able to fulfill additional requirements including supporting role-based access control, custom branding, Google Analytics integration, push notifications, and integration with Active Directory-based security authentication mechanisms for CUNY campuses.
