The following have been updated with new enhancements and/or resolved defects:

• Community drive
• Event Public Applet
• Messaging Applet
• Connect Email Notifications

1. Community Drive – Flexible File Management Permissions

You can now grant select community members or groups permission to upload, edit, and delete files in the Community Drive — without making them full Community Admins.

What’s New

• Community Drive access can now be controlled using community-level permissions (RBAC).
• Non-admin members can be given file management rights based on assigned roles.
• Community Admins continue to have full access by default.

No Action Required

• Existing communities will continue to work as before unless new permissions are configured.

Benefit: Enables safe delegation of file management while keeping overall community administration controlled.

2. Event Public Applet – Full Event Editing

Event creators can now edit all event details after creation.

You Can Now Update:

• Event title and description
• Date and time
• Location
• Event image
• Repeat settings

This ensures event details can be updated easily if plans change.

3. Dynamic Short codes Support in Engage Messaging – Email Channel

Feature Overview 

We have enhanced the Engage Messaging email channel to support dynamic personalization using shortcodes. Admins can now personalize email content by inserting recipient-specific information such as first and last names.

What’s New 

Added support for dynamic short codes:

• {FirstName}

• {LastName}

Short codes automatically populate recipient details based on the users selected in the Messaging Applet.

Short codes are available in: 

• Email body content
• Email templates within the Messaging Applet
• Personalization occurs at send time, ensuring accurate user-specific data.

      Benefits 

• Enables personalized communication at scale
• Improves user engagement and email effectiveness
• Eliminates the need for manual customization per recipient

     Scope & Compatibility 

• Available only for the Email channel in Engage Messaging
• Backward compatible existing emails and templates continue to work without modification
• If short codes are not used, email behavior remains unchanged

Note:-  It is recommended that, while creating a message, you always use the dropdown menu to      select the appropriate short code before drafting the message.

4. Connect Email Notifications – Message Preview Option

You now have the option to include a short preview of Connect posts within the email notification. This provides a plaintext preview of the first 140 characters of the message.

Note: Formatting and images are removed from the preview

How do activate this option?

1.) To enable the new Connect Email Preview option a Tenant Administrator navigates to Menu > Preferences.

2.) At the bottom of the page is a section called Messages Administration

3.) Find the toggle button for “Enable Connect Email Preview” and toggle it on

4.) Click Save All button

When enabled:

• Displays the first 140 characters of the post in the email.
• Removes formatting and images within the preview (regular Post not impacted)
• Help users quickly decide whether to open the message.

Can be turned on or off at the tenant level.
